Jean Monnet is opening on Europe
For the next two years, Students from Seconde 3 and 4 will participate in a project called « The Comenius project ».
The Comenius Project is a cultural exchange program between five European countries which includes :

France
-
Denmark
-
Sweden
-
Spain
and Turkey.
There will be some trips to these countries with a common goal : to discover different European cultures while speaking English. All the students will communicate through Social Networks such as Skype.
Everything will be free due to The European Union so that many students from each country will be able to visit foreign highschools. A group of classmates will make a video which will present the city where they live.
The teachers from other countries we met last Thursday 19th September told us a little bit of their culture :

The swedish teachers live in Gotsenburg, the second biggest city. One of the specialties there, is « Fika » (coffee and cookies). The most famous people are the Queen and King and Avicii (Tim Bergling, a DJ and producer).

In Denmark, houses are red with bricks and the country is very green and beautiful.

In Spain, there are « the corrida » and warm sun !
